Fatima Adamu Maikusa, a 15-year-old from Gombe State, Nigeria, has won seven international medals in mathematics competitions, making her a role model for many young girls.
Fatima, who started showcasing her mathematical prowess at the age of nine, said in an interview with Daily Trust that mathematics is one of the easiest subjects for her and that she enjoys it.
She also noted that Olympiad camps, informatics classes, and mathematics camps have helped to improve her skills.
Fatima, who wants to be a computer programmer at Harvard University, says she aims to break records and make inventions that can help solve problems like depletion of the ozone layer and global warming.
