About 7 Anambra National and state assembly aspirants of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have resigned and withdrew from the primaries supposed to hold tomorrow been Friday 27 of May, investigations by The DAILY NEWS REPORTERS have revealed.
Those who resigned include the former Anambra PDP Governorship candidate Valentine Ozigbo, Former PDP House of Representatives member Hon. Tony Nwoye, Val Ayika and others:

- Valentine Chineto Ozigbo withdraws from Anambra South Senatorial election.
- Valentine Ayika withdraws from Dunukofia, Njikoka and Anaocha federal constituency election.
- Lady Juliet Anaeme withdraws from House of Assembly contest for Ekwusigo state constituency and resigns from PDP.
- Chief Andrew Onwurah Azike contesting for Aguata Federal Constituency withdraws from the contest and resigns from PDP.
- Hon Obiora Chira withdraws from contesting the House of Reps in Oyi/Ayamelum federal Constituency.
- Hon Idu Emeka withdraws from contesting for house of Reps in Onitsha north and south.
