Chief Olabode George, a former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has advised Delta State governor, Ifeanyi Okowa to make amends with his political leader and benefactor, Chief James Ibori.

Speaking in an interview with DAILY INDEPENDENT, George also advised Okowa to do all he can to unite and put the Delta State PDP in good shape ahead of the 2023 general elections.

He said “Look at the crisis in Delta PDP, a state that is a key PDP stronghold. I heard Okowa is even opposing his benefactor, Ibori. That is an abomination”.

An apprentice cannot be higher than his master. The okra plant doesn’t grow taller than its planter. All these positions are very transient”.

Okowa should go and make amends with his boss and leader. Ibori stood by him like a leech when he was almost denied the governorship ticket and even in his second term. He should also get the state back to where it was”.

On the calls for the resignation of Iyorchia Ayu, the PDP National Chairman, Chief Bode George said it is surprising how Okowa who was the arrowhead of the power shift to the South is now the running mate to a northern presidential candidate.

“Okowa is the arrowhead of the campaign that the presidency must come to the South. He is also the chairman of the Southern Governors Forum. Now, he is the one that was chosen as running mate to a northern presidential candidate. E get as e be ooo”.
