3 Years In Office: Defence Minister Thanks Buhari For Deeming Him Worthy Of The Appointment

The Minister of Defence, Major General Bashir Magashi, (Rtd) has commended President Muhammadu Buhari, for deeming him worthy of the appointment three years ago.

The Minister, who was speaking when his personal Staff took him by surprise with assorted gifts to commemorate his three years in office, said the unwavering support of President Buhari to him and the Military were accountable for the successes attained so far in the defence of the National territorial integrity and the pursuit of the mandate of the Ministry of Defence

He described unabated pursuit of National Defence as imperative and charged his staff both Military and civilians to remain nationalistic and patriotic in the discharge of their assigned duties for the development of the nation.

General Magashi who was in awe for the beautiful three years anniversary cake and the designer Card, applauded the kind gestures of his personal staff led by the Special Adviser on Technical, Major General Ahmed Jibrin (retired) and advised them to continue on the trajectory of robust synergy for improved service delivery to the nation.

The Team Leader and spokesperson of the Personal Staff Maj Gen AT Jibrin took the Minister through the inscriptions on the designer card describing his three years tenure as a watershed in the anals of the Ministry.

A statement signed by the Special Assistant to the Minister of Defence on Media and Publicity, Mohammad Abdulkadri, gave the highpoint of the brief ceremony as the cutting of the cake by the Minister.
