75-year-old drug suspect lands In NDLEA Net

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a 75-year-old grandfather, Usman Bokina Bajama, and 21 other suspects in operations across seven states.

The agency also seized 1,001,387 bottles and capsules of banned drugs, Akuskura and Tramadol.

Spokesman of the Agency Femi Babafemi said in a statement in Abuja yesterday that 2,536kg of cannabis were equally seized from them while over 10 hectares of cannabis farms were destroyed in Edo and Adamawa states.

Babafemi said the septuagenarian, alias Clemen, was arrested in the early hours of Tuesday at Anguwan Sate, Mararraban Tola, Mayo Belwa council area of Adamawa where he had a cannabis plantation from where 49kg of the illicit substance was recovered.
