The stark contrast between the haves and have-nots in terms of befitting shelter has come under heavy check under the credible representation of Distinguished Senator Uche Ekwunife as yet another couple, a physically challenged lady Mrs Angela Muoneke and her husband Ikechukwu received the keys to a 3-bedroom standalone apartment built for them by the senator at Umudioka village Awka, Anambra State.
The project which was flagged off 5 months ago by the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, His Lordship, Most Rev. Paulinus Ezeokafor was just one among many of such projects completed while some are still ongoing in her quest to bridge the gap between the wealthy and the low income earners in the state.
The ranking senator of the revered Red Chamber of Nigerian Parliament has been consistent in delivering critical infrastructure and community driven empowerment schemes from her days at the Federal House of Representatives and is not showing the slightest sign of quitting anytime soon.
The Senator who was visibly elated by the timely commissioning of the project expressed gratitude to God for seeing to it’s hitch free completion, while commending in a special way, Bishop Paulinus Ezeokafor who provided the piece of land used for the project. Rev. Fr Francis Chidume whom she noted provided adequate supervision for the project was not left out as the Senator expressed sincere appreciation for his efforts.
Mrs Muoneke who was held spellbound by the unprecedented gestures of the distinguished senator across the state took to songs of praise, after which she appealed openly to God Almighty to bless and intercede for Senator Ekwunife in all her endeavors, noting that the leverage she has provided for humanity will continue to reward her in seven folds.
Appreciating God Almighty for using Ekwunife to wipe her tears, Mrs. Muoneke who was in the company of her husband sang joyously as she dropped tears of joy. She prayed God to bless the Senator and grant her success in all her endeavours.
The beneficiaries equally extended profound gratitude to the Bishop and the catholic diocese of Awka for their support to the family, while praying for divine replenishment for them and the Church.
