The revelation by AIF Media in a video posted earlier today in which Ozo Jude Agumadu, known as Baby Awka told his audience at the weekend that the National Chairman of APGA, Ozo Victor Oye asked him to go and support Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo for November 6 governorship election is causing disquiet in APGA.
AIF Media reliably gathered that some Aspirants are beginning to reach out to other parties for a possible defection.
A source told This Platform that other Aspirants will meet by next week and take a decision. He insinuated that the aspirants will decamp from APGA together with all their structures and members.
He felt sad that Oye betray every hope the aspirants bestowed on him for a level playing field. He is of the opinion that since Oye, Umeh and Obiano have decided to toe the line of Aguleri cabal and impose Soludo on the party without carrying the majority of the party members along, those who took that decision will deliver him on November 6. “Since they think we are fools, he will run without ticket but we shall see how they will deliver him on November 6.”
“We shall move to another party. All of us including the aspirants. It is now a battle. November 6 is a pay day. We shall see”, the source said.
Another APGA member who is aggrieved spoke to AIF Media on the condition of anonymity. He stated that those who are imposing Soludo will lose with him on November 6.
“We are the grassroot. We are the structure the party uses to win election. If these aspirants truly decide to leave APGA, we shall follow them. APGA is now a cult owned by Aguleri cabal. They have bought over the red cap chief, but this their move will be regretted.”
AIF Media gathered that some Aspirants after watching the video tried to reach Victor Oye to ascertain the veracity of the statement credited to him by Baby Awka but he refused to pick calls. Many of them are said to be making moves that will shock the party.
