Again, Senator (Dr) Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah has emerged the Chairman Anambra state Football Association. The election was first conducted on July 27, 2020 and was later cancelled by the Anambra State government through Ibrahim Gusau a member of NFF.
Due to the crisis engineered by Anambra State government on the state FA election of July 27, against Senator Ubah, the Chairman of the election committee, Rev Fr Obinna Dike also issued a statement cancelling the election. Earlier, the Anambra state govt through the Secretary to the State Govt, Prof Solo Chukwulobelu had issued a statement on the election stating that it wouldn’t hold due to the COVID 19 pandemic.
Yesterday, August 2, 2020 the Anambra state FA organised another FA election. This time it was a virtual election approved by all stakeholders including NFF.
The chairman of the election committee Rev Fr Obinna Dike organised the election and Senator Ifeanyi Ubah was returned again as Chairman Anambra State FA.
