Nnamdi Azikiwe University Reverts to its Consolidated School Fees, Says Matriculation Will Hold Peacefully

By Onyinye Agubaeze

Following the protest by the students of Nnamdi Azikiwe University over hike in school fees, the university management has reverted to the 2019 agreement of the consolidated school fees structure.

The agreement in 2019 was made in order to reduce the number of payments made by the students. With the consolidated fees structure, all dues and levies are made with just a payment receipt including the school fees which reduced the total fees previously payed.

Based on that, all Students of the University have been urged to shun further protest and any form of violence, but go about their normal academic businesses and not allow anybody use them to actualize their selfish motives.

In a statement jointly signed by The Chairman of Joint Campus of National Association of Nigeria Students, Comarde Peter Onyenwife and the Chairman of Past Presidents of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Students Union, Comrade Patrick Afubera assured that the University Matriculation scheduled for Friday 16th July will hold under a peaceful atmosphere.
