Anambra Central 2023: Ohamadike Is Never An Underdog

By Ezeike Chukwuebuka Prince

I made a post a day ago on how I’ll market the best candidates vying for different elective positions in Nigeria. I started with Peter Obi as being the best shot for Presidency and I stand by that.

Let’s talk about Anambra Central Senatorial district.

The Senatorial district is currently being represented by Distinguished Senator Lady Iyom Uche Ekwunife, PhD. Iyom has performed excellently well as a legislator, especially when it comes to lobbying the Executive in attracting roads and other projects, empowerment, employment and most especially, building houses for widows.

She’ll have her major opponent in any candidate APGA fields for the election.

APGA as party has two bigwigs contesting for same ticket; Senator Victor Umeh (Ohamadike) and Hon Ferdinand Dozie Nwankwo (Onye Ndozi).

Ohamadike is never an underdog, he’s well rooted in Anambra politics too. He represented Anambra Central during his short stay at the National Assembly and he equally did wonderfully well as a Senator, taking cognizant of the fact he didn’t stay up to a term made up of four years.

His structures I believe, are still intact and can actually deliver him in the election.

Onye Ndozi is the member representing Dunukofia, Anaocha and Njikoka Federal Constituency at the Green Chambers. Onye Ndozi is a youth friendly legislator who’ll always have the support of his people.

When it comes to funding his campaign, capacity and acceptance, I think he’s equal to the task owing to the fact he knows how to play politics of inclusiveness.

Brethren, I would have wanted to support someone else, someone that will be contesting in this Senatorial election but we cannot always run away from the truth. You may deceive people, but actually not your mind and your conscience tells the truth at all times.

Iyom is likely to be a consensus candidate of the PDP, and I can authoritatively tell you that Iyom is returning back to the Senate notwithstanding the forces that would want to stop her. She has done wonderfully well and I’m assured she’s going back to the Senate.

Note: If all my analysis will be wrong, what I can beat my chest and say again and again is that Iyom is going back to the Senate. QED!
