I commended Soludo for his decision to start work from Okpoko but I strongly suggest he makes a stop over at Ukpor, Lilu & Orsumoghu before heading to Okpoko. Times have changed – Hon. Obunike C Ohaegbu.
According to Hon Obunike C Ohaegbu, who provided dailynewsreporters.com with reasonable details why Soludo must make a stop over at Ukpor, Lilu & Orsumoghu before heading to Okpoko.
Read Him:
“My brother, as a retired Army officer with supposed experience in insurgency, you know that nothing can make the armed none State actors to willingly drop their guns and go back to “un-employment” as they were before the arms.
I actually laugh when people use the perceived injustice to Ndi Igbo to justify what is going on now.
When this started, we were all clapping that they were targeting the corrupt police.
Today, we are happy that they are going after the big men with SUVs and known Political Class.
In months to come, our aged parents, farmers, petty traders and school girls would be within the firing range. Even the Okada Union would start making returns because our big men must have ran away from reach.
My prayer is that people who are sympathetic or justify their activities should never be victims.
When people use the Marginalisation of the Igbos to justify what is going on, we pretend that the Sokoto Caliphate is at peace and the Buhari Village in Daura is calm and peaceful. It is unbelievable show of ignorance.
SOLUTION?
In Anambra State, Soludo is the solution.
I understand he had contacts with them shortly after the attacks on him. He should leverage on that.
At the interim, he should declare Amnesty. People should return the arms but those already using the arms would technically be allowed to retain the arms but engaged as Vigilante and should be paid well.
The state should take about 200 of them and get them to man our boarders like the CIVILIAN JTF.
Over time, the bad eggs amongst them would be removed gradually as they turn their guns against the people.
Engagement on investigations and reports would be wasting of time.
Soludo should drive straight to the camps and take photos for newspaper headlines as part of the healing process.
The next President would grant unconditional release for MNK and that would totally resolve all these issues.”
