Blogging is a lucrative skill that can fetch you a lot of dollars, given that you are dedicated and consistent. I felt like making this post after my brother Isaiah Amos made a post about quitting his job to focus on blogging.
Now let me tell you a little story about my blogging career.
I finished secondary school at the age of 15. After my graduation, I worked in a POS in Ogun State. I was working under someone at that time as a blogger. At that time, I worked with Helen Oluwaseyi Ojo as a content writer. While working, I borrowed money from one of my colleagues to create a website. I struggled and studied so hard about SEO on Youtube.
After some time, I left Ogun State for Lagos State due to the exposure in Lagos.
When I arrived in Lagos, I worked in a Cyber Cafe where I raised money to hire an expert to run both Onpage and Offpage SEO since I wasn’t getting the complete concept on Youtube. I spent about N30,000 then without earning a dime in the first two months. Well, I did not quit; instead, I put in more work.
Along the line, I started earning 100$ per month, and I quit the job as a Cyber Cafe attendant. I have no option but to stop and focus on my blogging career. I was scared at first, but when I eventually quit, I never regretted it.
These are the points I want you to note:
- PUT GOD FIRST
- FIND A JOB TO RAISE MONEY TO FUND YOUR BLOG
- INVEST AND WORK LIKE YOU NEVER INVESTED
- PUT IN MORE WORK AND PRAY
- TRUST THE PROCESS AND AVOID SOCIAL MEDIA PRESSURE.
