ASUBEB, UBEC Train Stakeholders Ahead Of National Personnel Audit

The Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board, ASUBEB, in collaboration with the Universal Basic Education Commission, UBEC, have begun a two day training of stakeholders and field officers for the 2022 National Personnel Audit.

The Audit will commence in Anambra State on Wednesday June 8, 2022.

The national exercise aims to collect data on the personnel in the education system, the number of schools, and student enrollment, among other things, to aid in the proper planning and distribution of resources.

Mr. Edward Abaraka, the Anambra State team leader NPA, stated that Anambra State is known for its quality education and for being at the forefront of ensuring the education sector is in good shape.

He also stated that, unlike the previous years, this year’s exercise will include all basic education institutions across the country including private institutions.

According to Mr. Abaraka, the goal of the collection is to have up-to-date, accurate, and reliable data that can be used for proper resource planning and allocation.

While reemphasizing that the exercise covers both private and public basic institutions, UBEC Anambra State Coordinator, Mr. Kingsley Nlewedim stated that the training is important and that if not given the necessary attention, inaccurate data would affect the dividends.

Mrs. Ogochukwu Obi, Officer-in-Charge ASUBEB Anambra State Headquarters, said in a welcome address that the training is to impact knowledge to officers going to the field to implement the policy, urging attendees to take the training seriously in order to have accurate knowledge of the exercise.
