The PDP candidates entourage consisting of Distinguished Senator Iyom Uche Ekwunife “Senator Anambra Central” ( Represented by Chief Onyi Okeke ), Chief Emeka Igwe “House of Reps Awka North and South ” and Barr. Josiah Ifedi “ASHA AWKA SOUTH ||” joined the Nise Women Union for their annual August meeting.
The August Visitors were welcomed amidst jubilation as the women flocked around them while they greeted the crowd.
In his address Chief Emeka Igwe commended the women for their effort and dedication towards developing a better society for all, and pledged that his office when elected will partner with women to develop, sponsor and execute programmes that will directly empower the women and the youths.
Etoo Dike thanked and appreciated HIS ROYAL MAJESTY, IGWE UGOCHIMALUEZE, ROMANUS NWEKE ILOH. ISE-NISE, who graced the occasion with his presence, for his support and encouragement to the women and for been a father indeed to Ndi Nise and all that crossed his path.
Speaking on behalf of the women, Lady. Dr. Nneka Onah ph.D appreciated the trio, she testified that indeed Nise Women and Nise in general has benefited immensely from the Most Distinguished Senator Iyom Uche Ekwunife directly or indirectly and they have have heard the numerous antecedents of Chief Emeka Igwe and Barr. Josiah Ifedi and has found them worthy of their support.
The entourage which included Hon. Barr Kenneth Arinze, Hon. Barr. Emmanuel Odum, Chief Okey Nwanna, Hon. Mrs Sabina Ugboaja, Chief Ozo Okonkwo, Hon. Mrs. Ngozi Nwamuo, Hon. Mrs. Elizabeth Olocha, and others were treated to a nice refreshment by the Nise Women.
