Former head of the Bureau for Public Sector Reform, Dr Joe Abah, has knocked the electricity workers for switching off power supply in the country in protest.
He added that he cannot think of any other country where a group of people would switch off power supply.
In a tweet on Thursday, the country director of Development Alternatives Incorporated said, “I honestly cannot think of any other country where people can go and switch off the power supply because they don’t want to be interviewed before promotion, and they will not be immediately arrested and jailed. ‘
He went further to ask, “Is tampering with ’NEPA’ equipment no longer criminal under our laws?”
Abah said this after a video of electricity workers switching off power at a station in Abuja surfaced online. The one-day strike of the electricity workers plunged the nation into a blackout on Wednesday.
