Essential Ndubuisi

The people of Adazi-Nnukwu in Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State were on Monday, 7th December 2020 filled with Joy and excitement as the Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Senator Uche Ekwunife (Iyom) facilitates a road construction project for the community.
The project was flagged-off by the Anambra Central Zonal Project Monitoring committee led by the former commissioner for women affairs Anambra State, Lady Henrietta Agbata. The committee was received at the project site by the President General of Adazi-Nnukwu, Mr Francis Madukaife, a representative of HRH Igwe Austin Obiekezie, the Traditional Ruler of Adazi-Nnukwu, Chief Pius Obiakonwa and other stakeholders in the community.
Receiving the project team, the President General, Mr Francis Madukaife thanked Senator Ekwunife for remembering the people of the community. He noted the road being constructed links important parts of the community and will be considered a testimony when completed.
Speaking further, the President General described Ekwunife as a representative who has shown great penchant for development from her time in the House of Representatives. He urged her to remain steadfast in her quest to drive good governance down to the people, and assured her of the support of the people of the community.
On his part, Chief Pius Obiakonwa who represented the Traditional Ruler of the community stated that Adazi-Nnukwu welcomes the project with joy. He assured the Senator of the support of the people of Adazi-Nnukwu and prayed for God’s continuous blessings upon her.
Speaking on behalf of the Senator, the leader of the project monitoring committee, Lady Henrietta Agbata thanked the people of the community for their support towards the Senator. She stated that the committee will occasionly visit the site to supervise the level of work being done, and urged the people of the community to remember the Senator in their prayers as she strives to deliver more dividends of democracy to Ndi Anambra Central and beyond.
Also in the delegation were the Former Accountant General of Anambra State, Mrs Helen Nwaeri, Former General Manager Anambra State Physical Planning Board, Chief Victor Okpoko, the Former Chairman of ASUBEB, Dr Rose Nwankwo, the Project Manager Anambra Central Liaison Office, Mrs Ifeyinwa Chinwuko.
Others present include, PDP Vice Chairman Adazinnukwu Ward 1, Mr Ugochukwu Mbafunike, Anaocha Coordinator SUECO, Joe Muonago, Anaocha Youth Coordinator SUECO, Obumneke Onwudilo, Anaocha Woman Coordinator SUECO, Enechukwu Adaobi, Former Deputy Chairman Anaocha LGA, Hon Sir Chuka Okpoko, Project Director of Anaocha, Hon Joe Ezeatu and others.
