I call on the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami to quicken the process of releasing Kanu in accordance with the Judgment of the court.

“Kanu’s continued detention after the court judgment sends a wrong message to the people of the South East region and indeed all lovers of justice. The federal government must use this opportunity to reassure the people of the region that Kanu’s trial had no regional or ethnic colouration. – Senator Mrs. Uche Ekwunife Ph.D. (IYOM)”
