A native of Abagana in Anambra State and born in Oron, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, Okonkwo is also the Publisher of Daily News Reporters (www.dailynewsreporters.com) and the Founder/Proprietor of Myprep Academic Centre (BN. 2957554), an academic solution center offering affordable, one-on-one home tutoring services across Nigeria.

Okonkwo is the founder of Acatech Hub Africa, an initiative where school children are taught programming, website, and software development from a primary level. He is also the Co-Founder of Voters’ Right Ambassadors of Nigeria (VORAN), a non-governmental organization advocating, educating, and engaging citizens about voting rights and the integrity of the electoral process.

In a statement to Daily News Reporters Business/Lifestyle, the Nnamdi Azikiwe University graduate in Building/Woodworking Technology explained that the launch of Ebulux Paint Company stemmed from his love for colors and interior design. His brother, Ebuka, gained professional skills in paint production and services through more than three years of apprenticeship in the industry, working with some of the largest industry players in the country.

Okonkwo had nurtured the idea of founding a paint manufacturing company since 2015, driven by his passion and love for creativity. He emphasized the importance of translating ideas into reality to live one’s dream life.

“As a builder, I started toying with the idea of manufacturing paints after I left school in 2015. I am really passionate about architectural design and color combinations, so I did a lot of studying about paint formulation,” he said.

The company was launched in 2019 and officially registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission in 2020.

“November 2019 was a great month. Great because I finally got to share something I’d been working on for years with you, EBULUX PAINT NIG LTD,” Okonkwo Said.

“You are my inspiration. I want to give you a way to express yourself through colors. To have you walk into a room with walls speaking our language and letting you feel exactly how you choose. My goals for the future are to build a successful paint brand that will be globally celebrated with 35% market share, manufacture over 6 million liters of paint by the end of 2026, and employ over 150 young people by 2027.”
