Jigawa State Sets Standard for Affordable Education with Generous Scholarships

Jigawa State has introduced transformative policies aimed at making education accessible and affordable for its residents.

Indigenes attending the state-owned university pay a minimal tuition fee of just ₦10,000 per academic session. To further support their education, each student receives an annual ₦60,000 scholarship, significantly reducing financial challenges.

Female indigenes benefit even more, enjoying free education from primary school to PhD level, regardless of their chosen course of study. They also receive an annual ₦60,000 scholarship, reinforcing the state’s commitment to empowering women through education.

These efforts demonstrate Jigawa State’s dedication to removing barriers to education and fostering development through inclusive policies.
