Essential Ndubuisi
The performing and people-oriented Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Senator Uche Ekwunife (Iyom) on Saturday, January 9, 2021 joined other dignitaries at the burial ceremony of Late Ojiefi (Mrs) Priscilla Nkechi Offodile, Mother of Hon Chudi Offodile.
Hon Chudi Offodile is an Executive Director at the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) and Former Member of House of Representatives.
Ekwunife joined a host of dignitaries who attended the burial ceremony held at the Family Residence in Barnhill Estate, Agu-Awka.
Ekwunife who had earlier attended the burial mass at St Peter’s Catholic Church Nkwelle Awka, described Late Ojiefi Offodile as a woman whose life of purpose and love is aptly represented in the disposition of his beloved Children who are today great assets to the society. She encouraged the family to remain consisted in upholding the legacy of their late Matriarch.
Ekwunife prayed God to grant the departed eternal rest as well as give the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Other diginitaries at the event include, the Governor of Enugu State, Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Former Governor of Imo State, Rt. Hon Emeka Ihedioha, Minister of Labour and Employment, Sen. Dr. Chris Ngige, Dr Obiora Okonkwo (Dikeora), President General of Nri Kingdom, Chief Dr. Kelvin Obiegbunam amongst others.
On the Senator’s entourage were the Former Anambra Commissioner for Women Affairs, Lady Harrieta Agbata, Former Anambra Accountant General, Mrs Helen Nwaeri, Former ASUBEB Chairman, Dr Rose Nwankwo, the CEO New Orleans Hotels, Mrs Ego Akabogu, Legislative Assistant to the Senator, Mrs Ify Chinwuko and others.
