The Commissioner who just resigned from Obiano’s administration has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen.
His younger brother, Chinedu Madubuko confirmed to AIF Media that his brother, Christian Madubuko had gone missing since January 13, 2021.
A source stated that about 6 armed men dressed in a camouflage abducted him at a gun point in Awka and took him away.
According to ThisDay newspaper of January 5, 2021, Dr Madubuko “resigned his appointment following alleged threat to his life and sabotage in government.”
Until his resignation, he was Commissioner for Art, Culture and Tourism. He was first appointed as Commissioner for Industry, Trade and Commerce; later, as Commissioner for Road, Rail and Water Transportation, and finally as Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, Indigenous Artworks, Culture and Tourism.
AIF Media therefore call on the security agencies to help the family secure his release.
