APGA will likely parade 3 factional governorship candidates in the scheduled November 6, 2021 gubernatorial election except the Supreme court was able to resolve the leadership crisis before then.
There are 3 leaders who are laying claim to the National Chairmanship of APGA and all of them are in different courts challenging themselves and asking the court to recognise them as the authentic national chairman of APGA.
The 3 persons laying claim to APGA National Chairmanship are;
- Ozonkpu Victor Oye
- Dr Barr Mic Adams II
- Chief Edozie Njoku.
At the Appeal court Asaba, Dr Barr Adams is asking the Appellate court to dismiss the ruling of the Kwale high court vacating its earlier judgement and sack Oye as the National Chairman Of APGA.
He is seeking an order of the Appeal court to be recognised as the acting national chairman pending the convention of a National Congress to elect a new national chairman.
At the federal high court Abuja, Chief Edozie Njoku is seeking an order of Mandamus which will compel INEC, Police and all other institutions to deal with him as the National Chairman of APGA.
Edozie Njoku believed that Oye handed over the National Chairmanship of APGA to him when he willingly withdrew his case against him at FCT high court Abuja, thereby vacating an order that restrained Njoku from parading himself as the National Chairman of APGA.
On the part of Oye, he is relying on a concocted Appeal court judgement procured by his “boy” from Ibadan where the plaintiff and the defendant are “5 & 6.”
AIF Media can confirm authoritatively that all cases are coming up February, next month.
Until the Supreme court decides, each of these 3 factional groups in APGA can conduct parallel primary elections and elect their own governorship candidates pending the conclusion of the case at the Apex court.
Hear this:
The ticket for the camp of Oye is now between Nicholas Ukachukwu and Nonso Smart.
The ticket of Chief Edozie Njoku’s camp will go to an APGA House of Reps member.
The ticket for the camp of Barr Dr Mic Adams is still open.
Judgement is expected by February or early March in these cases.
Goodluck to all of them.
