Engr Chris Emeka Azubogu on Friday 29th of January 2021 notified his party the PDP formally of his intentions to contest the November 6th 2021 Governorship election of his state Anambra.
This article is not about what he said or did not say, it is neither about what happened or did not happen at the declaration of intent. This article has nothing to do about how well his party received his intent.
No, this article is about the steps he took to make his intent known to his party.
Engr Chris Azubogu, a third term member of the Federal House of Representative, where he represents the good people of Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency started his journey towards the events of 29th January 2021 with a state wide consultations which took him to virtually all the nooks and crannies of the state as he consulted with his fellow politicians, religious leaders of all denominations, scholars, business owners, industrialists, traders, students, traditional leaders, market men and women, artisans, opinion leaders and even the ordinary people on the streets like me.
In the course of these consultations, he was making notes of the infrastructural, educational, and health needs of the people.
Having done with consultations, he started his declaration of intent by first making his intentions known to his Umudim Nnewi ward 1 party executive, thereafter it was the turn of his Nnewi North LGA party executive, from there he moved to Ekwusigo, Nnewi South, Anambra South senatorial before the mother of all declaration of intent which we all witnessed yesterday 29th January 2021 at Udoka Estate Awka secretariat of PDP.
Engr Chris Azubogu is not only out to restore the lost glory of the state, but to teach the people of Anambra state the bottom to top way of doing things.
