Senator representing Anambra Central in the National Assembly, Senator Uche Ekwunife has continued to redefine the art of economic emancipation for the people of her constituency in more profound and scintillating fashion than we have ever witnessed in the Nigerian political landscape. For keen political observers in Nigeria, it is not so difficult to discover that “Empowerment Programmes” are rare for many politicians hence the continued cry from the people for the lack of care by the modern day Nigerian Politicians.
However, Madam Project as she is fondly called, in keeping with her redoubtable characteristics, has stood out as a one in a million Nigerian politician whose empowerment commitment does not know any season. Since her induction into the 9th National Assembly about One and half years ago, she has been embarking on a routine and aggressive economic emancipation of her constituents which have had hundreds of beneficiaries across the 7 L.G.A of her senatorial district.
On the 13th day of this month of February, there was another of such empowerment programme in Awka under the auspices of the people’s senator, Uche Ekwunife. It was actually, the 9th edition of the programme where a number of tricycles were freely distributed to some selected members of her constituency.
The event graced by some notable personalities such as the Chief Whip of the Nigerian Senate and Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District, Senator Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, stakeholders and some LGA chairmen of the Peoples Democratic Party, was a grand celebration of Iyom’s purposeful representation.
The testimonies of those lucky beneficiaries as they lavished praises on Senator Uche Ekwunife(Oji Uno Eme Ogo), were so overwhelming and heartwarming. It was their wish that Senator Uche Ekwunife should be entrusted with higher political office in the state so that her economic emancipation strides will be able to spread to all the nooks and crannies of Anambra state.
Indeed, all of them and most Anambrarians believed that Uche Anambra Ga-Emezu hence we are speaking in one echo as thus: Ka Nwanyi Nwere Capacity Jekene
