As the November 6 scheduled Anambra state governorship election draws closer, all the political actors in the state are beginning to come together to realign their interests.
Yesterday, the 2019 Aggrieved APGA Aspirants, AAA led by Owelle Onyeka Mbaso met at Awka. At the meeting, the AAA effected a change on its name from 2019 Association of Aggrieved APGA Aspirants to Association of APGA ASPIRANTS.
AAA has over 400 members across 21 LGAs and substantial number of them were at the crucial meeting. AAA is determined to play a major role in electing the next governor of Anambra state come November 6, 2021.
A source at the meeting told AIF Media that AAA will never allow those who defrauded in 2019 general elections to receive ndi Anambra again. “It is time to pay the ‘ekperimas’ who duped us in 2019 back. They refused to force Oye to refund us, this time they will cry and tears would refuse to flow.
“Whoever becomes their candidate will lose the election at the polling booth. We are mobilising our supporters across the state for this final battle.
“AAA has waited patiently till this hour. It is time to prove our worth. We no longer ask for refund, we will appeal to Anambra to join us and flush them out. It is fight to finish”, the source concluded.
Association of Aggrieved APGA Aspirants, AAA are members of APGA who contested the party primaries of various levels in 2019 general elections but were duped by agents of the leadership of APGA who scammed millions of naira from them with promises of holding free, fair and credible primaries, but turned around to release results of the primary election from their hotel rooms.
All their protests to force these ‘ekperimas’ to refund them failed as the National Leader of the party was not interested in instilling discipline or bringing the criminals to justice. Most of were reelected into NWC of the party and others got various political appointments in the APGA govt.
With the announcement of November 6, as the gubernatorial election date by INEC, all members of AAA are regrouping for final onslaught against the real enemies of the state.
