Agbero Ban: Soludo to introduce digital revenue collection

From Head-Bridge all the way down to Upper Iweka, MCC Junction, Onitsha South Motor Park, Izuchukwu Motors, Lagos Line, Benin Park etc., there are no presence of Agbero’s (touts) selling tickets to Keke Operators.

The ban announced by the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Prof Charles C. Soludo CFR have already started yielding positive fruits. Keke operators, Transport drivers, traders & artisans are really impressed and relieved from the daily harrasments they encounter from Touts.

Mr Governor have earlier promised to empower touts and make them useful members of the society. In his words, “Agbero abughi orlu”. New ways of collecting revenue through digital means (ussd or bank payments) are being invented.

Indeed, it’s going to be a rigorous task to enforce total eradication of Agberos in Anambra State but the journey of building a smart megacity, a liveable and prosperous homeland have already begun. Won’t you rather build with Charlie Nwa Mgbafor?
