Ms. Okey-Nwoye achieved an astounding 96% aggregate points, surpassing nine other talented contestants to claim the prestigious top spot. Her remarkable achievement has earned her a grand Prize Money of Five Hundred Thousand Naira (₦500,000), a state-of-the-art laptop, and a year-long feature on billboards, celebrating her outstanding accomplishment.
The award ceremony, held at the Aguata Local Government Area Secretariat, was graced with elegance and grandeur. Dr. Chibueze Ofobuike, the Transition Committee Chairman of Aguata LGA, proudly presented the prizes and lauded the #AGreaterAguata initiative for its commitment to empowering and inspiring young minds like Munachi.
As a token of recognition, the runners-up received a selection of valuable gifts, including books, bags, and other educational materials. Notably, the esteemed St. Peter’s Secondary School Achina, responsible for nurturing the brilliant mind of Ms. Okey-Nwoye, was rewarded with a set of brand new Desktop Computers in recognition of their dedication to academic excellence.
Distinguished guests in attendance included the revered traditional rulers of Ezinifite, Uga, and Nkpologwu, alongside the esteemed directors of the Post Primary School Service Commission, and several other notable personalities who commended Munachi’s incredible feat.
