With a scintillating display of hard work, teamwork and sportsmanship, Obinikpa Football Club has emerged the winner of Amaokpala 2021/2022 Community Football competition.
The tournament which held at HolyGhost Academy Amaokpala in Orumba North Local Government Area, was sponsored by Amaokpala Development Union, Diaspora Branch.
The football competition is one of the activities organized for the youths of the community this festive season to help reduce antisocial behavior and for the them to bond with other youths in their community and develop meaningful relationships.
At the end of the tournament, Obinikpa FC came first and went home with Five Hundred Thousand Naira cash prize, a trophy, with additional one hundred thousand naira from a philanthropist, while Ajango FC which came second smiled home with Two Hundred Thousand Naira .
Amaokwe FC, the third position winners received Fifty thousand naira while others received consolation prizes for their efforts.
Part of the activities that marked the event was a tour to three tourist attraction in the community which are Iyiocha lake, Odo River and Mmiri be Orizu.
