As the September 28 local government elections draw near, Ambassador Clem Darlington Aguiyi , former Transition Committee Chairman of Njikoka, has pledged his support for Barr D.C Ononiba and Iyom Fidelia Okafor, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) chairmanship candidate and Deputy for Njikoka.

At the inauguration of the Ononiba/Okafor Campaign Council, Aguiyi expressed his commitment to Ononiba/Okafor’s campaign, stating, “My presence here today is to support you and all the councillors in every way possible. Our party, APGA, is united in Njikoka, and this unity will guarantee our success.” He emphasized that APGA’s victory is no longer in doubt, as “in Njikoka, APGA is synonymous with the people, and the people are APGA.”

Hon. Prince Chidolue John Nwankwo (Okunagbaofia Na Nawfia) was appointed Campaign Director-General during the ceremony, performed by Hon. Chidi Ibemeka, member representing Njikoka II Constituency at the Anambra State House of Assembly.

Aguiyi, convener of Solution Babes, assured that the group would mobilize over 2000 votes. He encouraged everyone to work tirelessly for more votes, emphasizing that this election would test APGA’s readiness for the 2025 governorship election.

The party’s momentum in Anambra State, fueled by Governor Soludo’s achievements, positions Ononiba for a strong victory. APGA’s focus on grassroots engagement aims to penetrate communities and support accelerated development.

Dignitaries present at the event included Prof. Theresa Obiekezie, former Commissioner for Youth; Pharm. Hon. Chinedu Anaekwe, APGA Chairman Njikoka; Hon. Chidiebere Ibemeka, member representing Njikoka One Constituency; Hon. Barr. D.C. Ononiba, APGA aspirant for Njikoka Local Government Chairman; Dr. Roy Chinwuba; and Sir J.C. Maduka.
