Chief Emeka Igwe the PDP candidate for house of Representatives for Awka North and South Federal Constituency who was unavoidably absent during the free medical outreach exercise which was organised by Amikwo Youth Akamma N’Ese Awka in Conjunction with Awka Eye clinic was represented by Mr. Emmanuel Machie though he has initially given his support.
The exercise, where about 200 persons recieved medical attention ranging from Eye Tests and drugs with Medicated Eye Glasses, Medical tests such as Malaria, Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar and RVS, and drugs for treatment.
They also recieved some souvenirs such as Mosquitoe net and a light refreshment.
Etoo Dike said his motive for assisting them when they called on him, was because of his zeal to always bring succour to the Needy.
He encouraged the Executives of Amikwo youth for such wonderful gesture and inspired them to keep creating avenues to engage the old, the women and the youths for they are the fulcrum of a functional society.
The Amikwo Youths, women, men and other beneficiaries of the free medical Outreach expressed their gratitude to the chairman of Amikwo Youth Comr. Obiora Nzekwe who made it clear that he carried out the exercise as a way to give back to the society, he proclaimed that more intervention programmes are on the pipe line, while he also used the opportunity to call on well meaning persons in the society to give their support so that a better society can be achieved.
He appreciated those that supported the exercise both with Materials, Finance, materials and spiritual gift and most especially Chief Emeka Igwe who was amongst the first person to encourage them to carry out the exercise as their efforts yielded great fruits.
