Anambra Government Bans Chief Austin Ndigwe From Parading Self As The Traditional Ruler Of Awka

 

Anambra state government has banned Chief Austin Ndigwe popularly known as Uzu Awka from parading himself as the traditional ruler of Awka.

A release signed by the Commissioner for Information, Chief Paul Nwosu said the only traditional ruler recognized by Anambra state government as the monarch of Awka community is Obi Gibson Nwosu, noting that it cannot tolerate anyone trying to disturb the peace of Awka community in any guise.

It warned the said chief Ndigwe to desist from performing highly placed functions such as new yam festival for Awka community which it said is the right of only recognized traditional rulers.

It warned that any other misdemeanor from him will amount to sanction according to relevant laws of Anambra state.
