Anambra Police Recovers Stolen Trailer Load of Cement At Okija; CP Adeoye Orders Manhunt

In a successful operation, police operatives from the Area Command Headquarters in Ihiala, working alongside Anambra State Vigilante members in Okija, managed to recover a HOWO trailer bearing the registration number Delta AKU 247 XB. The trailer was found to be transporting 1000 bags of Bua cement, which had been stolen.

According to the information received, the truck had been hijacked at gunpoint by unidentified individuals on the 14th of July, 2023, at Obiliokite in Delta State.

Upon sighting a joint patrol team consisting of police and vigilantes along the Onitsha-Owerri expressway, the armed criminals abruptly abandoned the truck in Okija and fled.

In response, Commissioner of Police, CP Aderemi Adeoye, has ordered an immediate manhunt for the gunmen. He urges the local community to provide any valuable information that could aid in the apprehension of the suspects, assuring that all information shared will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.
