Chief Oliver Asiegbu, a prominent philanthropist and stakeholder in Anambra State also known as Ogaranya Na Umuchu, has urged Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah who represents the Anambra south senatorial district to run for re-election in the upcoming general elections in 2023.
This demand was made over the weekend by Ogaranya Na Umuchu, who was speaking to reporters on the 2023 general elections.
He claimed that Senator Ubah had demonstrated his abilities as a strong, outspoken, and energetic representative without a shadow of a doubt.
The level of development brought to Anambra South by Senator Ubah in terms of roads, electricity, ensuring the safety of people and property, health care, youth employment and empowerment, water supply, house construction for widows and less fortunate people, and other infrastructure, according to Chief Asiegbu, cannot be overstated.
He added that he, Chief Oliver Asiegbu, attracted a lot of these projects that were located in Umuchu and that this was due to the unwavering support that Umuchu had provided for Senator Ubah.
He disclosed that he and his organization had since endorsed Senator Ubah and were committed to continuing their mobilization to secure his resounding win on February 25.
He also advised the populace not to stake their morality on the outcome of the election.
He concluded by saying, “We would like to see Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah stay as Senator for Anambra South because we are enjoying the dividends of democracy under his leadership.
He continued, “I encourage our people to vote overwhelmingly for him and not let politicians with dubious moral integrity influence them.”
