Anambra State Government collaborates with a firm to ensure the provision of portable water

Anambra State Government has reiterated its commitment to providing portable water to Ndi Anambra.

This came to the fore when Governor Chukwuma Soludo inaugurated the conduct of Hydrogeological and Hydrological Mapping and Modeling for Water Source Potential in Anambra State.

The event, which was a partnership between the Anambra State Ministry of Power and Water Resources and Tona Geological Consultants Nigeria Limited, took place at Aroma Overhead Reservoir, Ifite Road, Awka.

The Commissioner for Power and Water Resources, Engineer Julius Chukwuemeka said that the project goes beyond drilling boreholes and installing water pumps.

For the commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Obidike and the chairman, Anambra State House Committee on Power and Water Resources, Honourable Emma Nwafor, who spoke on safety of water, pleaded for the assistance of international bodies and public-spirited individuals on water provision and supply.
