Anambra State government represented by the Commissioner for Housing, Architect Michael Okonkwo and the Managing Director, Anambra State Investment, Promotion and Protection Agency, (ANSIPPA), Mr. Jide Ikeakor today, Tuesday, 19th January, 2021, inspected ongoing construction works at Anambra Luxury Place Estate, located at Nkwelle- Ezunaka GRA, Oyi local government area.
Speaking while conducting the state government officials around the estate, the Chairman of Rotech Energy Services Limited, Chief Augustine Oguejiofor, noted that the project has recorded a major milestone as it now has residents, with operational launch of security services, fire station, twenty four -hour power supply as well as completed access road.
Chief Oguejiofor acknowledged the support of the state government, especially Governor Willie Obiano which he said, has aided the speedy work in the estate. He further revealed that the estate is not designed for the rich alone, and is affordable for medium and low income earners.
Continuing, Chief Oguejiofor said that the estate has boosted development in Anambra state, created jobs while providing quality living accommodation for Ndi Anambra.
Mr Jide Ikeakor, MD of ANSIPPA said that the state government is encouraged by the pace of work at the estate, and used the occasion to invite Ndi Anambra to come back home and invest, saying that Anambra is open for business.
The Commissioner for Housing, Architect Michael Okonkwo said that Anambra Luxury Place Estate represents a good model for public -private partnerships, a model that the Willie Obiano government has used very well, especially at a time that Nigeria is facing dwindling revenues from oil. He said that when completed, the housing stock available to Ndi Anambra will improve tremendously.
Anambra Luxury Place Estate will have modern technology such as CCTV cameras, fibre optic telecommunications services, well planned roads, covered drainage system, a police station, hotel, fire station, green area for relaxation, and shopping mall all designed to guarantee maximum comfort for residents .
The residential houses come in four bedroom duplexes with two boys quarters, and five bedroom duplexes with two boys quarters each. There are also plots for high rise blocks of flats etc.
