Anambra State Governor, Soludo Signs 2023 Appropriation Bill Into Law

Governor Chukwuma Soludo has assented to the 2023 appropriation bill to become Law.

It is the first full fiscal annual budget to be proposed by the present administration totalling N259 Billion.

The function was performed by the Governor at the Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia, flanked by the Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Uche Okafor, Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Ms. Chiamaka Nnake and the Deputy Majority Leader at the State House of Assembly, Hon. Emeka Aforka.

While describing the timely passage of the budget as a productive partnership, Governor Soludo thanked the State House of Assembly, saying that it is a march to achieving the transformation agenda of the present administration.

According to the Governor, passing the act of parliament is the fundamental job, applauding them for expeditiously scrutinizing and passing the budget into law.

While expressing optimism that the dreams promised the people will be achieved inspite of all the odds and challenges in the country, Governor Soludo assured that his administration will keep pressing on all cylinders to ensure good governance for the people of the state.

On 10th of November, 2022, the Governor presented the draft estimate of N258, 970, 175, 905 to Anambra State House of Assembly.

The budget is tagged, “Budget of Acceleration”.
