Anglican Bishop of Ihiala, Okoye’s Daughter, Chioma Joined In Holy Matrimony To Hubby, Frank Maduka

The Archbishop Metropolitan and Primate, Church Of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, the Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba led other Anglican Bishop to celebrate with the Anglican Bishop of Ihiala, Right Reverend Professor Israel Okoye his daughter, Chioma walked down the aisle with her hubby, Frank Maduka exchanges marital vows.

Governor Willie Obiano while speaking at the marriage ceremony, applauded the church and the couple for observing the COVID-19 protocols at the ceremony.

Governor Obiano said that marriage is a thing of joy that is best memorable if witnessed by the parents of the celebrants and expressed the hope that through the tutelage of their parents in faith, they will excel in this new chapter of life.

The Governor represented by the Managing Director Awka Capital Development Authority ACTDA, Venerable Amaechi Okwuosa wished the couple fruitfulness, good health and prayed for God’s unending love upon the couple.

In a sermon during wedding service, the Archbishop, Niger Province and Bishop of Awka Diocese, the Most Rev’d Alexander Ibezim called on couples to always tolerate, advice and listen to each other for a better understanding that will lead to a happy home.

The Anglican Prelate urged them not to deviate from the good foundation their parents have established for them.

The Solemnization of the holy matrimony which took place at Church of the Pentecost, Awka was well attended by Archbishops, Bishops, the Clergy, the Political class and the Laity of the Anglican Communion as well as friends and well wishers.

Some of those in attendance include the Dean, Church of Nigeria, Most Rev’d Buba Lamido and a former Dean of the Church, Most Rev’d Maxwell Anikwenwa.

Others are: the former Governors of Anambra state Mr. Peter Obi and Dame Virgy Etiaba, and the Vice Chancellor, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Prof. Charles Esimone and many others.
