The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has pledged to work with the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) and the private sector to achieve his administration’s industrialization agenda.
Speaking at the MAN Business/Stakeholders Town Hall Meeting in Onitsha, Governor Soludo highlighted his administration’s plans to transform the state into a hub for industry, technology, and leisure. He announced the appointment of a new Commissioner for Industry to support his vision for manufacturing and industrialization.
Governor Soludo emphasized the importance of tackling foundational issues and passing a law to make touting illegal and punishable by imprisonment. He urged Anambra residents to support local products and called on Ndị Anambra living abroad to send a portion of their taxes to the state.
President of MAN, Otunba Francis Meshioye, commended the Governor and his colleagues for their support of the manufacturing industry, despite the difficult economic period. The event also featured the commissioning of the MAN Liason Office provided by Dozzy Group.
