APC Convention: Anambra Ex-Pub Sec beats to stupor, Andy Uba camp took over stand

It was a free for all yesterday evening at the Old Parade Ground, venue of the accreditation of delegates for the APC National Convention between the camp of Senator Andy Uba and that of Dr Chris Ngige/George Moughalu.

AIF Media gathered that during the accreditation which was supervised by the Deputy Senate President, the two factions went into battle over which camp would be the recognized by the Convention Organizing Committee. The Deputy Senate President was said to have told them that it was Basil Ejidike that’s the recognized APC state chairman in Anambra state.

APC Convention fight

Unfortunately, Arch Okelo Madukaife the erstwhile state Publicity Secretary of APC became a victim when he was asked to leave the venue. His insistence angered the Andy Uba camp who descended on him with heavy blows.

The melee threw the venue of the accreditation into confusion leading to the DSS to intervene. They asked Ejidike if he knows Okelo and he said no. This made the DSS to drag Okelo out of the venue.

Meanwhile, AIF Media learnt that at the Convention Ground, Ngige camp presented some court documents which led to the APC convention committee preventing delegation from voting. It was only the statutory delegates from Anambra that voted.

It is unfortunate that Anambra APC has refused to be united and work as a family.
