APGA leadership Tussle – Sequel to the controversy which trailed the amendment of the judgement of the Supreme Court delivered on the APGA leadership on October 14, 2021, the Supreme court has again come out to state that it is Chief Edozie Njoku who was returned on October 14, 2021, as the National Chairman of APGA and NOT Chief Victor Oye.

Justice Mary Odili who is the chairman of the 5 man panel that delivered judgement on October 14, 2021, in a letter dated November 7, 2021, stated that Victor Oye was not a party to the suit and that even in the letter from the Director of Media of the Supreme court, Mr Festus Akande, which denied all the CTCs issued by the Supreme court on that matter was as a result of the misconception and not the true position of the amended judgement of October 14, 2021.

Justice Odili said it is Edozie Njoku who should be recognized and not Ozo Victor Oye as the National Chairman of APGA, stating that Oye was not a party to the proceedings.

She stated that Chief Edozie Njoku is the proper person to whom the orders and judgement were referred.

She concluded her letter by stating that the other four Justices of the Supreme court who were members of the panel would confirm this latest position.

Justice Mary Odili yesterday ended the controversy and misconception on the disputed National Chairmanship of APGA between Chief Edozie Njoku and Ozo Victor Oye.

She also ended the controversy on whether the Supreme court on May 8, 2022, sat to correct the judgement delivered on October 14, 2021, in which Oye’s name was expunged from the judgement and replaced with that of Chief Edozie Njoku.

Ozo Victor Oye and his Ekperima gang had been lying to the public that Supreme Court never sat to correct the judgement of October 14, 2021. They claimed that the corrected version AIF Media published was faked and doctored.

They petitioned the police, the DSS and the Supreme court claiming that Chief Edozie Njoku doctored the October 14, 2021, Supreme court judgement. All these agencies did their investigations and threw Oye’s petitions into the dustbin.

But Oye cleverly bought over the INEC and the electoral body despite being served by the Supreme court itself refused to do the needful.

In conspiracy with INEC, Oye concocted a letter purportedly from the Director of Media, Supreme court which complicated the matter but INEC quickly acted on that useless letter and continued to deal with Oye.

But the Supreme Court Justices who were members of the panel have come out through Justice Mary Odili to stop the further mess of the judgement the panel amended on May 8, 2022.

In the letter that AIF Media published yesterday, Justices Mary Odili said,

It is to be placed on record that I corrected the mistake by replacing Chief Victor Oye’s name with that of Chief Edozie Njoku on paragraph 1, of page 13 of the 14th October 2021 judgement.

“The correction was made having cognizance that on the day of delivery of the judgement being 14th October 2021, by a slip of the pen and tongue the name of Chief Victor Oye was brought in. This error was pointed out to me by other members of the panel who reminded me that Chief Victor Oye was not a party to the Appeal or the proceedings which emanated from the Jigawa high court.

“However in the course of the trajectory of errors, the name of Chief Victor Oye kept recurring in the record of the judgement instead of the right party to the proceedings, Chief Edozie Njoku.

Justice Mary Odili went further to invalidate the letter from Dr Festus Akande, the Director of Media Supreme Court and said the letter which denied all the CTCs of the amended judgement was an act of misconception.

Justice Mary Odili, therefore, reinstated Chief Edozie Njoku and removed the name of Ozo Victor Oye as a party to the suit.

Her letter has ended every misconception, controversy and dispute on who is the authentic National Chairman of APGA.
