As Soludo Directs Public Servants To Resume Work On Mondays

We all know that, the primary responsibility of any reasonable Government, is the security of life and property. Prof. Soludo has further proven that he means business, given his recent directive to the people Anambra State.

In his Inauguration Speech, Prof. Soludo reserved long lines for IPOB – non State actors. He gave them reason to join, and support the quest for a Progressive State under his watch. He didn’t threaten fire and brimstone, instead, he offered a hand of friendship – Diplomacy.

His words,

“To IPOB/ESN, the Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), as well as the disparate armed groups in the forests, it is time to interrogate both the purpose and means of your campaign.

Let those in the forests come out, surrender their guns and let’s work together to rehabilitate and empower you to contribute positively to the peace and prosperity of our homeland.”

Now, it is also worthy to note that, IPOB officially cancelled sit at home since last year –  and has constantly distanced herself from the incessant attacks on Mondays. At some point, they offered to deal with anybody or group enforcing sit at home on Mondays. This automatically exonerates them from those attacks.

Reacting to Prof. Soludo’s Statement, IPOB has this to say,

“We fully identify with this call and will do our quota, if needed, to see to the fruition of this Noble process. We urge the other Governors in the South East to immediately identify with and adopt this call as there General Position.”

What other prove or security do you need to believe that Prof. Soludo has demonstrated an uncommon Leadership ability less than 2 weeks at the helm. His message is very clear; I’m in for business, and ready to manage the security situation in the State, because I am responsible.”

Once upon a time, some online clout chasers and noise makers were blaming anything else, for the Insecurity in the South East, but not the Government; In all their evaluations and analysis, “Non State Actors” are the subject matter, and not “Failure in Leadership.”

I always find their submissions irritating, and born out of naivety, and deliberate sentiment and ignorance of the actual reality.

It’s also funny, that the same people constitute the large numbers who sees the Governor’s recent directive, as a security risk to his subjects. They argue, “if it’s the right move..” they ask such question like, Did he make necessary security  consultation?…

From their submission, it appears they understand Governance better than “the man on the wheel” or they are not yet ready to shift their goal post in blaming “Non State Actors” for Insecurity. They cannot afford to start holding the Governor accountable, IPOB is a better prey. I am very happy Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo thinks otherwise, he want us to hold him responsible for the Insecurity in the State, not “Non State Actors” I am vindicated.
