The Anambra State Association Of Town Unions, Youth Wing known as ASATU Youths is making preparations to endorse Chief Greg Obi, the Commissioner for Local Govt, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs for the scheduled November 6, Anambra state governorship election.
AIF Media reliably gathered that an order was given from above for ASATU Youths to counter what the U-AYA did for Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo.
A source who wants his name to be protected told AIF Media that ASATU Youths are not happy how U-AYA took over the functions of Anambra youths and made itself an authority of the youths’ affairs in the state.
He maintained that Chief Greg Obi is the next candidate of APGA having worked closely with the incumbent for 8 years. And with ASATU Youths on his side, whatever U-AYA is doing with Soludo will be countered.
Therefore, ASATU Youths will be used to displace U-AYA in the scheme of things in APGA.
