There are strong rumours that Hon Chris Emeka Azubogu representing ndi Nnewi North/Nnewi South/Ekwusigo federal constituency at the House of Representatives is consulting and will in the next few weeks defect to APGA.
Hon Azubogu was first elected on the platform of APGA in 2011. He dumped APGA to PDP in 2015 when it became clear that Chief Victor Umeh who was the then National Chairman was bent on denying him the party ticket to return to the house of reps for the second time.
Umeh rather gave the party ticket to Emeka Ojukwu Jnr and Azubogu angrily moved to PDP. Surprisingly, he won nwa Ojukwu in the 2015 general election.
In 2019, he contested again for House of Reps under PDP as no one contested the party ticket with him. He was returned unopposed.
In 2021, Hon Azubogu indicated interest to run for the number seat in the state. He contested for governorship election on the platform of PDP but unfortunately he lost the party ticket to Mr Valentine Chineto Ozigbo .
He got angry that he lost the party ticket to Ozigbo and defected to APC where he negotiated to run for senate in 2023. He defected to APC with thoughts that ”na edego the result”, so he can run for Senate.
But unfortunately, APC couldn’t make it in 2021. Presently, Azubogu is scheming to defect to APGA to contest for Senate in Anambra south senatorial zone.
He joined APC on September 2021, so he is barely 6 months and he is leaving to APGA and not returning to PDP..
It is time for Azubogu to support others. He has been supported enough since 2011. It is not good that anytime he is not sure of ticket, he defects.
Let him go to APGA since he doesn’t like APC and support another candidate.
