Breaking News: Anambra APC Suspends Party Chieftain


Sequel to the Press Release issued by the former Secretary Chukwuma Agufugo Esq, regarding the purported suspension letter issued against the State Caretaker Chairman Hon. Chief Basil Ejidike and the fallacious report peddled against the State Working Committee of the part sequel to the outcome of their meeting of 28th Nov. 2021, the SWC had an emergency meeting and discussed extensively on the gross misconduct of the erstwhile State Secretary.

A 7 Man Disciplinary Committee was set up to look into the fallacious and unauthorized Press Release issued by him with one week ultimatum to deliver report.

Today being the 7th day of Dec. 2021, the Committee gave their report, unanimously signed by all the Committee members and recommended the immediate suspension of the erstwhile State Secretary after having carefully investigated his inordinacy and undertones of his intents and commissions.

However, the SWC today after having carefully studied the report of the Disciplinary Committee, seated at the meeting were 14 members out of 17 members unanimously adopted the Committee’s recommendation and thereby suspended the former State Secretary Chukwuma Agufugo Esq both as the State Secretary and as a member of All Progressives Congress (APC) Anambra State.

The SWC also approved the setting up of two (2) Major Committees namely:

1. Disciplinary Committee.

2. Congress Awareness/Sensitization Committee.

And finally approved Saturday for Anambra State APC Stakeholders meeting. Venue and time will be communicated later.
