BREAKING NEWS: Victor Oye Suffers Another Loss At Owerri High Court as Court Throws Away His Application for Stay of Execution

By AIF Media

The Imo state high court Owerri this afternoon dismissed the Stay of Execution application filed by the factional National Chairman of APGA, Ozo Victor Ike Oye.

Oye had approached the court with an application to stay the execution of its own judgement which recognized Jude Okeke as Acting National Chairman of APGA. The judgement also validated the convention of May 31, 2019 where Edozie Njoku emerged the National Chairman of APGA and as well validated the action of the NEC of APGA held on June 15, 2021 in which Victor Oye, Soludo and others were suspended from the party. In the same judgement under review, Hon Chukwuma Umeoji and the APGA primary election of July 1, 2019 were upheld with the court ordering INEC to continue recognizing the outcome.

AIF Media gathered that Oye filed two applications at the Owerri high court. The applications were stay of execution and leave of the court to join the appeal at the Appeal Court Owerri.

The stay of execution application was thrown out while the court went ahead to hear his joinder application. Jude Okeke & others opposed the application for Oye to be joined describing him as a meddlesome interloper.

After the arguments from both parties, the court reserved ruling to tomorrow while the application brought by Edozie Njoku was adjourned to August 31st for hearing and ruling to allow parties respond.

However, at Owerri today, two APGA matters came up in two different courts at the state high court. The first matter was at court 9 where Oye lost his Stay of Execution application.

The second matter was at court 5, where one Desmond Ofoma, a hatchet man of Victor Oye secretly filed a suit against Edozie Njoku.

The matter came up today and it was adjourned to September 28. It was also returned to regular court 8 where it was pending for ruling on application brought by Oye for joinder. The vacation judge, Justice Isiguzo stated clearly that the issue of jurisdiction in the pending matter is a serious matter and advised that the case ought to be taken straight to the Appeal Court.

Meanwhile, no matter came up today at the Appeal Court Owerri on APGA wahala.
