The Caring Family Enhancement Initiative, CAFE, a charity organization founded by wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Dr (Mrs) Ebelechukwu Obiano, has, today, February 23, 2021, begun the fitting of prostethics for the new year, at Dora Akunyili Women Development Centre, Awka, to give aid to those whose arms and limbs have been amputated.
The exercise, run free of charge, has seen thousands of people from and outside Anambra State receive the artificial fittings over the last few years.
The current exercise will run today and tomorrow, February 24, 2021, and will see more than two hundred people receive the free fittings.
Note that the governor’s wife also runs a similar programe in partnership with Smile Train Foundation, New York, that sponsors children with cleft lips and palates on a free surgery at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi.
