Chief Emeka Igwe the PDP candidate for House of Representatives Awka North and South Federal Constituency, a cabinet Chief ~ Etoo Dike n’OKPUNO in Okpuno community of Awka South joined HRM Igwe Oghene Okpuno and the good people of Okpuno as they celebrated this years New Yam Festival.
Chief Emeka Igwe who was recognised by HRM in 2018 with the title of Etoo Dike n’OKPUNO for his tremendous support and empowerment of the Okpuno people, few amongst them is the Comprehensive Free Medical Outreach in Awka and Okpuno, his scholarship programs which some Okpuno indigenes are also Beneficiaries, small scale business start up grant e.t.c, has since then been a part of the Okpuno community.
He prayed that the reign of HRM Igwe Oghene Okpuno may be long and prosperous and may the festival open doors for a Bountiful harvest for the Okpuno community and Ndi Awka North and South at large.
The envoy which included Hon. Barr Kenneth Arinze, Chief Okey Nwanna, Chief Sir Charles Nwachukwu, Chief Onyi Okeke, amongst others joined the Most Distinguished Senator Uche Ekwunife ‘s entourage who were also there to celebrate with HRH Igwe Oghene Okpuno. The team where treated to a cool refreshment while enjoyed the display of culture and tradition of the Okpuno people.
