CHIEF EMEKA IGWE SYMPATISES WITH THE FLOOD VICTIMS IN AWKA NORTH

It was on a sad note that I recieved the ugly incident of Flooding in some communities in Awka North like Awba Ofemili, Ugbene and Ugbenu mostly and some other communities in Anambra state by extension, which displaced many and destroyed their means of livelihood.

I hereby use this opportunity to sympathize with and encourage the victims to remain steadfast, for once there is life, there is hope for a better tomorrow.

I pray God Almighty to Grant them the fortitude to bear such ravaging loss.

Though a natural phenomenon, I hereby call on the relevant Government institutions, both State and Federal, to come to the aid of these communities and find ways to ameliorate the adverse effects of this misfortune.

I also urge the government to look inwards to devise preventive measures to protect citizens from such destructive incidents in going forward.
