Deputy Governor Aishah Ahmad of CBN Confirmed Safe, Not Under Custody

In the midst of the ongoing investigation into the activities of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), all senior officials of the Central Bank are actively cooperating with interviews conducted by the Department of State Services (DSS) and the appointed special investigator. Notably, the deputy governors are fully participating in this process, offering essential information as required. It is crucial to underscore that this is a routine procedure designed to support the ongoing investigation.

In a recent phone conversation with a close family member of Deputy Governor Aishah Ahmad, who is not authorized to speak on the matter, it was unequivocally confirmed that she is safe and sound, with no involvement in any DSS detention.
