Information reaching AIF Media from Houston, USA indicates that the out going wife of the governor of Anambra state, Her Excellency, Chief Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano has indicated interest to contest for the election of the Mayor of Houston in 2023.
The Mayor of Houston is the chief administrator and official representative who is responsible for the general management of the City who ensures that all laws and ordinances are enforced.
A source at Houston told AIF Media that Mrs Obiano who is afraid that APGA has collapsed in Anambra state owing to defections of party members and leaders had abandoned her quest to run for senate in Nigeria in 2023 and opted to contest for Mayor of Houston.
The First Lady from information available has huge investments in Houston and may have decided to reside permanently in the US city after the tenure of the husband on March 17, 2022.
It is unfortunate that after destroying APGA and leaving Anambra worst than it was in 2014 when they took power, Osodieme is heading to Houston to contest election.
Possibly she doesn’t believe that Ozo Victor Oye will give her ticket in 2023. She is likely afraid that the same spoon they used to serve APGA aspirants will be used on her in her rumoured senatorial ambition in 2023. And the need to abandon Nigeria to contest for election in USA.
